little things mean a lot...

so, i'm making new habits. today for lunch,

i ate a sandwich on light bread, opted for mustard

instead of my fave mayo, and ate it with a side of

salad and pretzel rods. oh, and don't forget my

flavored water with 0 calories. :) i'm diggin' this

new way of eating.....so far. ;)

i am hosting a crop at scrap-a-latte on jan. 24th

and i have been working on some challenges.

the crop is called "CREATIVE RESOLUTIONS".

so each challenge will be called a "resolution". it's

gonna be LOTS of FUN!!! hope you can join me!!!

i've included a couple of sneak peaks of resolutions

we'll be doing that weekend. :)

oh i soooo needed some scrap therapy
today! i have been having multiple migraines
every day for almost SIX weeks now. of course,
they might have already started tapering off
if i would have gone to the doctor earlier....
but anyway, i've got meds now...and today
i was able to scrap, scrap, scrap!! Ahhhhh!!!

so, sarah tagged me...this is my 1st time...

seven random facts about me....i'll try to pick
things you don't already know about me:

1. I LOVE hot stuff! jalepenos, tabasco,
salsa, cayenne...if it's spicy hot, i MUST
eat it...but FRESH jalepenos are my
absolute FAVE!! i eat them with every meal
at home! :)

2. My life long dream has been to record
an album. I love to sing & even if it didn't
sell, I just wanna experience the making of it!

3. My tears flow freely! Dang if I don't cry at
everything...movies, tv commercials, when i
hear the star spangled banner....everything
seems to make me cry! My family all tease
me about it, cuz it really is extreme!

4. I started smoking in the 2nd grade! YIKES!
I have been quit for over 3 years now, though.
You have no idea how BIG of an accomplishment
that is for me! I was smoking between 2 & 3 packs
a DAY!!! I secretly LOOOOONG for a cigarette. In
fact, there doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that
i don't dream about smoking....hmmmm...only
in my dreams, though. i'll never puff for real again!

5. I am a TOTAL believer in God! I may not act like
I should, but I feel His presence almost daily. I pray
every day.

6. I chew my fingers. Yeah, you read correctly...my
fingers! I knaw at them so much that they always
look like they've been through a grinder. It's really
disgusting, but I just can't seem to stop! GROSS!

7. Last random fact.....hmmmm.....currently i'm
ADDICTED to diet mt. dew!! i drink at least 6 cans
of it DAILY! This is in addition to all the coffee & water
i drink every day!! (p.s. #8 could be that I spend a LOT
of time in the bathroom! LOL!) :)

So, there you have it....7 things you never wanted to
know about me! ;)

okay, i haven't participated in a
while...but THIS dare just screamed
at me! :) i've been saving this record
to "scrap" for quite some time....but
nothing really inspired me to use it...
until i read the dare today.

there's lots of "found" objects on this
altered project.
1. i cut off a flap from a box i got in the
mail & used it as my background
2. the strip of b&w on the left side is
from a smashbox make up kit i received
for christmas
3. the gold star garland is from the inside
of a tree ornament that broke
4. push pins from my sewing kit, hold down
the b&w strip
5. masking tape from my office
6. metal photo corners, heidi swapp stickers,
chipboard flowers (used as clouds), my hand-
drawn rainbow, pics of my & my ipod, ghost
butterfly i painted, and scrap pieces of paper
round out the remainder of the stuff i used.

wow! this was so much freakin' fun!! thanx for
the totally awesome dare!! :)

here it is, word up #3 from
the one little word challenges!

MY.....there were so many ideas

swirling through my head...but at the

end of the day...this was my favorite....

the layout on the unpubbed site so

inspired me that i couldn't create

just one layout....i had to do two! ;)

{boogie} is fun for me, becuz i love

watching my daughter dance. she's

so funny! :) the journaling reads,

"It's appropriate that one of daniela's

fave songs is "boogie wonderland"...

she loves to boogie! When she got her

new princess kicks, she just had to groove!"

lil' mama just seemed so appropriate

for my baby girl who loves to play

"mama" to all her stuffed animals,

barbies, dolls, and even ME! :)

journaling says, "The only gift daniela

wanted for Christmas- Baby Alive.

She's such a good lil' mama....look at her

comforting baby by rocking her & saying

'shhhhh'." :)

layout about some advice to my baby

this was my 1st time creating a totally

clear layout!! the 1st pic is me holding

it up....has the wall as a light background.

the 2nd pic is it propped up on my desk...

that created a dark background. and the

3rd is a scan of it....which makes it appear

to have a solid white background.

loved playing with this, becuz

i painted on the back side of it...attached my

circles to the backside of it & then attached

everything else to the front! so FUN!!! :)
