and the oscar goes to.........

WHEW!! good day of fun!! i went to
see Vantage Point in the theatre with
jesse & then home to watch the red
carpet show on E & then the red
carpet show on abc...& then the
academy awards themselves. So much
fun!! :)

so, the big hit of the night....No Country
for Old Men. that movie raked them in!
well, compared to the other films...it won
i think 4, if my tallying was correct...the
biggest of course being the most coveted
award of all....best picture.

i try to watch all the nominated films in
the best picture category & this year i
am WAYYYYY behind. but i will watch them! :)

okay, so rewind now, becuz i really need
to pay a little homage to the film i saw
today...vantage point. it ROCKS! love the
"rewind" to show yet another perspective
of the same event. twists & turns & overall
it was a GREAT movie!

OSCAR NITE!

ok. so am i really alone? i just
L-O-V-E me some OSCARS!! :)
the whole red carpet, who's
wearing what, who's with who,
who wins what, who says that....
oh, i just love it all! :)

well, my room is completed...sort of.
paint- check. flooring- check. all my
stuff moved in-check. everything in
its place?- errrr.....nope. not even close.
i really need to take a pic of how horrific
it really is....i have way too much crap &
it is all stacked on everything in my
room! the best part? i don't have the
energy to dive into any of it right now...
so it will wait. yeah, so i really am going to
take some pics of the mess...maybe that
will inspire me to fix it. ;)

ramblings of a busy day

so, I woke up earlier than i wanted....
did some work....
went to see 1408 with jesse, becuz we
had some malco movie certificates! it
was an awesome stephen king movie...and
the ending didn't suck like most of his movies
do....no weird spider or some other
odd creature at the end!! lol!! :)

very intense for me....but very good.
i just love john cusack....he's a great actor.
and the little part by samuel l. jackson?
well, it goes without saying, he's the man!

then, i came home to a HUGE check i've
been waiting on to pay off our credit cards
came in, so we did a tiny bit of
shopping tonite to celebrate. the kids each got
a little dough to spend. little man & baby girl
each spent there's on a video game.
lica & i bought some killer shoes at payless....
she bought two pair for $10....and i bought 6 pair
for $14.84!! Oh, yeah, baby....thrifty shopper here!!!:)

so, now i'm home & after walking a lot today,
i'm pooped! heading to bed early....it's 12:19 a.m.
yep. that's early for me.....i normally stay up until
3:00!!

my baby girl turned 4 years old
today! *sniff* only one more year
before she's off to start kindergarten!!
ACK! can you believe she's this old
already?? i sure can't. it seems like
yesterday, she was screaming all nite...
hungry all the time....wetting her diapers...
okay...just joking. she was actually a very
goooooood baby!! everyone commented on
it, too! she was saving it all up....for now!

we didn't have the terrible twos....somehow
squeaked by the terrible threes....but now
we've begun the terrible fours. woo, this girl
can throw a fit & be oh, so stubborn!! she's
definitely testing her boundaries & her
determination would be admirable if it
wasn't so frustrating!!

but today, she was on her best behavior &
we had a great time taking her to the movies!
we saw shrek III which was very funny! i love
the cartoons that have just enough adult humor
in them to keep me entertained, but it's above
the kids' heads...so they still like it too! :)
